Hello, I’m Lori Fopiano, a painter living and creating on the South Shore of Massachusetts. My love for art began in childhood, but like many, I didn’t pursue it as a career. It wasn’t until after retiring from another field that I made the decision to truly commit to my passion and explore what it means to express myself through art. Mostly self-taught, my journey is focused on finding my unique voice and place in the art world.
As I’ve grown, I’ve shifted from the structure of realism to embrace contemporary abstract art. My work is a reflection of my emotions and experiences, and I love how abstraction allows me to communicate things that words often can't capture. The beauty of the world around me—nature, light, color—serves as a constant source of inspiration, but it’s the exploration of shape, texture, and color that drives my creative process.
I primarily focus on creating abstract landscapes and non-representational pieces, often using bold and unexpected color harmonies. Through these works, I hope to add beauty and meaning to the spaces they inhabit, inviting reflection and evoking emotion. Whether large or small, my art is designed to bring a sense of calm, wonder, or energy to everyday life.
